Mitchell County Public Health Announces Walk-In Back-to-School Vaccination Clinics

As the first day of school approaches, Mitchell County Public Health is reminding parents and guardians to make sure their children's immunizations are up to date. To make it easier for families to meet Iowa's school vaccination requirements, Mitchell County Public Health will host walk-in vaccination clinics throughout August—no appointment necessary.
Students entering Kindergarten, 7th Grade, and 12th Grade are required to have specific vaccinations before attending school. These immunizations help protect not only individual students but also classmates, teachers, and the community from vaccine-preventable diseases.
