Car Seat Safety Check Event🚗💙
Osage, Iowa — Did you know that many car seats are installed incorrectly, increasing the risk of injury in a crash? Mitchell County Public Health & Home Health is hosting a FREE Car Seat Safety Check Event to help families ensure their child's car seat or booster seat is installed correctly and safely. Our Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will provide one-on-one education, inspect your current car seat, answer questions, and help make any necessary adjustments. Free car seats will also be available for families in need while supplies last.

Appointments Are Required
To ensure every family receives personalized assistance, appointments must be scheduled in advance by calling (641) 832-3500.
During the event, certified technicians will:
- Inspect car seats for proper installation
- Educate caregivers on correct seat use for various ages and sizes
- Check for manufacturer recalls or expiration
- Provide hands-on support in both rear- and forward-facing installations
