Foot Clinic
Services for those who have difficulty reaching or seeing their feet. A nurse will assess your feet, provide a relaxing foot soak, nail care, and lotion. Cost is $25.00. Call to make an appointment at 641-832-3500.
Bicycle Safety
Mitchell County Public Health will be hosting an annual bicycle rodeo for proper fitting of bicycle helmets and general bicycle safety. Free bike helmets available to those who attend. More information to come!
Car Seat Safety
Coming soon! Mitchell County Public Health will have a certified child passenger safety technician who assists parents and caregivers on the proper installation and use of child restraint systems. More information to come!
Babysitters Course
Safe Sitter® classes are coming soon to prepare students to be safe when they're home alone watching younger siblings or babysitting.
Tobacco Prevention
Mitchell County Public Health educates and provides resources for many public health topics, including tobacco prevention, to people of all ages in the area. Mitchell County Public Health attends the Children's Health Fair every year. Our team always enjoys spending the day with the area third graders to educate them on the dangers of tobacco use.
School Prevention Program
Mitchell County Public Health provides many resources for area schools and can come in and educate students and teachers on several different public health topics, such as the importance of hand washing.
